From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

To all the democrats who have voted. To all the people who made the wise and smart decision to vote for Barack Obama. No, i do not live in the United States. No, i guess it does not affect me directly, JUST directly, because what does the USA that doesn’t affect, one way or another, the rest of the world? So for putting and end to 8 years of misery, THANK YOU.

A little something i told someone at the boards:

“All those republicans saying they’re scared of what’s going to happen, well welcome to our side, that’s how the democrats and the rest of the world has been feeling for the past 8 years. And we’ve been proven to have things to be scared of. What are you scare of? Obama not wanting to bomb every country in the middle east?

You said your country is based on military, and if Obama cuts 25% of it there’s no way you can have/be economic power. Why does your country need such big military force? No, really. How many times has your country been attacked by a foreign country in the past century? TWICE. Pearl Harbor in ‘41 (which happened in the WWII, so it doesn’t count because we all were getting fucked) and 9/11.
Yours is one of the most populated countries in the world, and even with 25% less of military, you’ll still be one of the richest ones, if not the richest.
This is not the 16th century anymore. Countries don’t go around trying to invade other countries for their territory. The Spanish Armada it’s not going to pop around Florida to cause trouble. The British won’t try to get their territory back. The Portuguese have enough in their plate, frenchies have moved on, and the rest of colonizer countries from the middle age have better things to do, it’s been centuries since we’ve had better things to do.

So maybe, the money that was going to be used for that 25% of the military will help families in your country. Isn’t that what goverments are for? To help their people, their citizens? Why invest so many fucking millions on sending troops to countries where you have no business at? Serisouly.
Maybe that money, instead of being spent at Iraq on military stuff, will be used to improve your very poor social security system. Maybe it will be used to help ex army families to start a new life as normal citizes. Maybe it will be used for social causes, medicine, charities, or any other problem more important to you than killing muslims.

Have you heard of the term “culture of terror“? That’s how experts, politicians and journalists over here describe how Bush has kept you for this past 8 years. “OH we will be attacked! People are meanies, they wants us downZzZ!” Well NO. 9-11 happened, it was horrible, but probably didn’t come out of the blue. We were attacked too, and so was England, do you see us freaking out, our presidents asking for money for the military, planning attacks on countries that have nothing to do with it, deploying thousands of our people to kill and invade those countries? NO. Did we survive? YES, did we move on? YES, were we attacked again? NO, were you? NO.

You should be happy you’ve been providen with a modern, peaceful president.”
